Hand-made 8x10 gelatin silver fiber contact print of a 1957 BMW 507, produced using traditional darkroom techniques. Signed, stamped, and inscribed verso with an edition of 25 and 2 artist proofs.

The BMW 507, a car that doesn't require introduction, is a special vehicle that commands attention. A bit of an oddball, but in the best possible way, it was first introduced in 1956 as a departure from BMW's practical and reliable car reputation. Designed by Albrecht von Goertz, it boasts an elegant look.

Powering the car is a 3.2-liter V8 engine producing 150 horsepower, allowing it to reach a top speed of around 130 mph and a 0-60 time of around 10 seconds, making it one of the faster cars of its time. However, the 507's high price and exotic nature resulted in a commercial failure with BMW losing money on each unit sold, leading to production being halted in 1959 after only 252 units were built.

Despite this, the 507 has become one of the most sought-after cars of all time, considered a classic and highly valued by collectors. A true piece of automotive history.
